How Sports Performance Works at Back in Action

Dr. Binkowski has spent most of her 30+ year career working with elite athletes — Navy SEALs, the Buffalo Sabres, the San Diego Padres, the Toronto Blue Jays, World's Strongest Man competitors, professional skateboarders, boxers, PGA and LPGA golfers, and MMA and UFC fighters. That experience translates directly to your treatment plan, whether you're competing professionally or training for your next half marathon.

Sports injuries are different from general musculoskeletal pain because the body keeps demanding performance from the injured area. So treatment has to account for both the injury and the demands you're putting on your body in training and competition. We work with your coach, trainer, and other medical providers to keep your care coordinated.

We treat the full range of sports injuries — shoulder pain, knee issues that aren't surgical, ankle sprains, hamstring strains, rotator cuff problems, and the cumulative wear-and-tear that builds up over years of training. Treatment combines adjustments, cold laser therapy, custom rehabilitation, medical massage, kinesiotaping, and BrainTap for mental performance and recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with pro athletes currently?

Yes. Dr. Binkowski's career has included work with professional fighters, triathletes, performers, and golf and combat-sport pros. We treat patients across every level, from weekend warriors to active competitors.

Can I keep training during treatment?

Usually yes, with modifications. Your treatment plan will be built around your training and competition schedule. We'll tell you what to back off from, what to keep doing, and when you're cleared to return to full intensity.

Do you handle post-surgical sports recovery?

Yes. We work with patients before surgery to see if conservative care can avoid it, and we work with patients after surgery to support recovery, restore mobility, and prevent the next injury on the other side.
